While most of his colleagues simply focused on transmitting theoretical knowledge, the Indiana Jones of Viseu took his students to the field, to his own home where he showed them the archaeological finds he had lovingly collected and treated, or on study trips throughout the country.
His meticulous and organized way of working, as well as his passion for heritage and its preservation, are also evident in his personal stamp, his ex-libris, which he himself nicknamed Aequo Animo.
Our Ex-Libris family suite is our tribute to this important figure in Viseu’s history.
